Kai Greene once worked out with an amateur bodybuilder, and the amateur was lifting heavier weights than Kai Greene. Kai made him lower the weight and do it right. When he did this, the amateur struggled mightily because he actually performed the movements right instead of looking for a mechanical advantage. Kai said “I’ll never be a weightlifter – I am a bodybuilder.” That’s why he’s no amateur. It’s about doing the activity right, not about just getting the weight up.
