When you own a company, it is good to know the types of people that are in the organization so you can be a better motivator, understander of human psychology, and influencer to get the most out of your employees.

Five types of people in an organization:

Gung – Ho All-In Leaders – All in to the organization. Can lead and expect a lot out of people.

Adequate Performers – Don’t need to be boisterous, but are highly effective at what they do.

High Energy Low Action – Effective at motivating, but largely not doers and expect others to carry that burden

Semi-Attackers – Are kind of floating, view this strictly as a means to an end. Do just enough to get by and don’t do any

Facade Disguisers – Say the right things and actions are different.

Not everyone needs to be obsessed to be effective and the facade disguisers will teach you on how to run a better organization, tighter ship. Impossible to root them out forever, but you want to eliminate them once you find them.

You’re not necessarily going to change someone from one level to another, nor should you. You want to know how to nudge the other 4 levels even more if you can.
